Welcome to Jefferson! The scattered and forgotten ends of Northern California and Southern Oregon. An area filled with vast rural areas and small isolated towns. The punk scenes of this area are often overlooked, ruled out as unimportant, or completely unknown. But despite that these scenes are incredibly meaningful to the punks here. With extreme ups and downs in bands, venues, lack of support, and isolation from main hubs, it’s a constant fight for these scenes to exist. But it’s this strife that builds some of the hardest work ethics around and pulls scenes together in unity. It is my hope that this comp can be an example that punk can thrive here and encourage others to keep the fire going.
